In my final draft for my third writing prompt I mainly used one source that we went over in class to support my opinion. But I also disagreed with things that my source had to say as well. An example of a quote I used is, “In the essay by John Armstrong, he supports the fact that people are free to think certain things are beautiful or not by stating, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.”(Armstrong).” Afterwards I went in depth on how he also shares opinions that I don’t agree with. Stating what I agree with gives my paper evidence that goes towards my main claim. Then I gave an example of what I don’t agree with in the next sentence, “The issue I face in Armstrongs essay is the fact that he also supports sense drive and form drive. Sense drive “lives in the moment and seeks immediate gratification”(Armstrong). Form drive is “the inner demand for coherence over time, for abstract understanding and rational order” (Armstrong).” I used this as evidence in my paper so show that I didn’t agree with his point of view and used it as a structure to argue my initial opinion. In the next sentence after that quote I explained where he got the two drives from and explained what it meant. I also use two songs in my paper that gives examples of what I believe is beautiful.
